Frequently Asked Questions

Should I re-submit my story?

Yes, always keep in mind that publishers receive a lot of submissions at any given moment, and no matter if they are big or small, not every submission makes the cut or is looked at. There are limitations to how many submissions one company can take on.

So unless you have been contacted by a publisher, always consider resubmitting your work—of course, within reason.

As a rule of thumb, you should wait at least 90 days before resubmitting to a publisher.

How often are submissions reviewed?

The Submission Review Board meets 4 times a year so once a quarter (or every 90 days) to review submissions. With the first meeting being in March, and the last in December each the Calander year.

When will I hear back about my submission?

We can’t promise or guarantee that we’ll be able to reach out to everyone who has submitted to us within a given period. While we do our best to reach out to those who have submitted, it’s best to keep in mind the rule of thumb: if you don’t hear back, don’t think this is bad. It’s possible your submission was overlooked, so please try again.
