Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of stories are you looking for?

We love manga and light novels and are interested in fantasy, adventure, romance, horror, sci-fi, and slice-of-life works that appeal to both young adult and adult fans.

What does “creator-owned” mean?

Creator-owned means the trademark and copyright of the work in question are wholly owned by its original creator. B4 Manga only publishes creator-owned Mangas and Light Novels.

How do stories get greenlit for publication

Submissions are reviewed by the submission board at B4 Manga. Where all submissions received over the past 90 days are reviewed for consideration for publication.

When will I hear back about my submission?

We can’t promise or guarantee that we’ll be able to reach out to everyone who has submitted to us within a given period. While we do our best to reach out to those who have submitted, it’s best to keep in mind the rule of thumb: if you don’t hear back, don’t think this is bad. It’s possible your submission was overlooked, so please try again.

How often are submissions reviewed?

The Submission Review Board meets 4 times a year so once a quarter (or every 90 days) to review submissions. With the first meeting being in March, and the last in December each the Calander year.

Should I re-submit my story?

Yes, always keep in mind that publishers receive a lot of submissions at any given moment, and no matter if they are big or small, not every submission makes the cut or is looked at. There are limitations to how many submissions one company can take on.

So unless you have been contacted by a publisher, always consider resubmitting your work—of course, within reason.

As a rule of thumb, you should wait at least 90 days before resubmitting to a publisher.
